Restylane Silk and its benefits for lip enlargement
Different people have different facial structure – and so is everyone’s ideal lip structure and shape. Restylane Silk is designed for people who want precise lip shaping and line control which results into a more silkier, smoother and natural looking lips. You can browse into Restylane’s official lips gallery to find your ideal lip shape and then you can talk to your specialist to use Restylane Silk as an alternative to fillers like Restylane Vital™ to help you achieve the look you want for your lips.
How does Restylane Silk work?
Like other areas of your body, your lips and lines around the mouth start showing aging signs as you get older and older. This can cause lip thinning, lost shape, and there are chances of an increase in vertical lines above the lips. Restylane Silk can help to provide natural-looking results in these specific areas by providing smoother, smaller particles to your skin than those which are used in other products of Restylane.
What Patients say about Restylane Silk?
In a clinical study which was done on Restylane Silk, clinical investigators reported that 98% of patients who were treated with Restylane Silk saw easily visible improvement in the lip fullness just after 14 days of the injection. 77% patients who were treated with Restylane Silk reported that they saw at-least one point improvement in the lip fullness just after eight weeks of the treatment. 59% patients managed to maintain lip fullness up to 6 months after the treatment.
We recommend these important safety measures before using Restylane Silk on any patient. Although, Restylane products have good track record of safety but still mandatory safety measures should be taken before and after the treatment. Common side-effects that are caused after the procedure are swelling, pain, bruising, redness and tenderness for some time.
Please make note of these things before treating any patient:
Restylane Silk is Hyaluronic acid based filler that contains traces of gram positive bacterial protein and must not be used on patients that have severe skin or other allergies. Restylane Silk should also not be used on patients with bleeding disorder problem with use of hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics, like lidocaine. Practitioner must make sure that the patient is over 22 and pregnant and breastfeeding women should not be treated with Restylane Silk.
Restylane Silk is just intended to serve lips and other closely related areas and must only be injected into the dermis or lip submucosa. We suggest to delay the use of Restylane Silk on areas that have any infection or problems such as pimples, rashes, sores, hives or cysts problem until the natural healing process is done by the body.
Treatment volume must not be more that 1.5ml per lip enlargement treatment and only 1.0ml for perioral rhytid correction. Greater amounts can have significant increase and can cause side effects and other problems. Until now, the safety of using Restylane Silk on any other areas than perioral rhytids and lips has not been established, therefore the gel should not be injected elsewhere.
